Yard/Garden=Yarden
We all garden for our own reasons. I believe that at the base of it is the human compulsion to be close to nature.
Currently my motivation is not a single compulsion or concern. I want to be outside as often as possible. I want to feed my family fruits and vegetables whose chemical exposure I can control during their growing season. I want to help control stormwater runoff in my somewhat urban neighborhood and trap it for the use of things planted in my yard. I want to control pests – both insect and rodent – by encouraging their natural predators to visit my yard.
What I hope to share through this blog is the journey. Process, purpose, the why, the how, the search for knowledge and practical uses of that knowledge.
Permaculture, organic, native plants and ecosystem, know better do better gardening, with grace.
